My background

Welcome! I'm Ruth (actually Mary, but that's a long story!). I was born in Paisley, Scotland (thus the website name!) and moved to Canada when I was 5yrs old. I'm a busy, working Mom to my sons Hayden & Carter. I love to cook, create, entertain and share recipes with friends & family!

How I got started

I had 3 most wonderful inspirations: My Mum was a great cook - we loved watching The Galloping Gourmet and Celebrity Cooks together when I was just a very young lass (way before Food Network existed!). My Auntie Ailsa is also an amazing cook, and taught me the art of entertaining. Last, but not least, my dear friends George, Barry & Mark - they introduced me to more of the gourmet world, and the world of wine!
